# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It takes less time than most people spend choosing what music to play at a party.
  • The vodka doesnt make it boozy, it sharpens the butter and makes everything taste brighter and more interesting.
  • You can make it look fancy without actually doing anything fancy.
02 -
  • The butter must be truly softened or the vodka will pool instead of blending, and youll end up with a greasy mess.
  • Dont skip the lemon zest, it does more work than you think and keeps the richness from feeling heavy.
03 -
  • Use a pastry brush to get the olive oil evenly on the bread, otherwise some pieces burn while others stay pale.
  • If the vodka butter feels too strong, let it sit for ten minutes and the sharpness will mellow out into something rounder and smoother.
