→ Candy

01 - 30–36 unwrapped round peppermint hard candies

# Method:

01 - Set the oven temperature to 300°F (150°C).
02 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
03 - Place peppermint candies edge to edge in a tightly packed circle on the prepared baking sheet, forming a flat disc approximately 8 to 9 inches in diameter.
04 - Bake for 7 to 9 minutes, monitoring closely until candies melt and fuse without browning.
05 - Remove from oven and let cool for 1 minute until pliable but not hot to handle. Using oven mitts, invert a heatproof bowl about 6 inches in diameter, and carefully drape melted candy disc over it, gently pressing sides to shape. Hold until firm.
06 - Allow the candy bowl to cool completely for approximately 20 minutes before removing from the mold.
07 - Peel off parchment paper and fill the peppermint bowl with desired treats.

  • Bowls are best filled with wrapped candies or dry treats, as moist foods may soften the candy bowl.

03 -
  • Try mixing red and green peppermint candies or fruit-flavored hard candies for a decorative twist.
  • Greasing the mold bowl lightly can make it easier to remove the cooled candy bowl.
